With just a few days remaining until its premiere, Netflixhas unveiled the Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 final trailer. The video teases the explosive episodes to come from this week’s first half of season 4, including a major war taking place within the Upside Down. Check out the exciting trailer below:
The Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 final trailer offers an exciting few glimpses at the group’s journey to the Upside Down, namely that of Joe Keery’s Steve, Natalia Dyer’s Nancy and Maya Hawke’s Robin, who are joined by a fourth indiscernible character in the alternate dimension. The video also further teases Max being haunted further by the forces of the Upside Down as Sadie Sink’s young character can be seen at the start of the trailer arriving outside an unknown yet seemingly major location in the Upside Down. With previous trailers, as well as the Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 final trailer, showing Max floating in a catatonic-like state in front of her brother’s grave and Steve, Dustin and Lucas, it seems clear Billy’s own ties with the Upside down in season 3 will have some ramifications on Max in the upcoming episodes.
On the other hand, some viewers have taken to theorizing that Stranger Things season 4’s new big bad Vecna could actually be Dacre Montgomery’s Billy resurrected and once again possessed by the malevolent forces within the Upside Down. Pouring through the trailers shown thus far, eagle-eyed fans have noted similarities in Vecna’s tentacle-suspended introduction and Billy’s death at the hands of the Mind Flayer in season 3 as well as one of season 4’s episodes being entitled “Dear Billy” and Montgomery himself teasing on Instagram undergoing heavy prosthetics for a project that’s “coming soon“Only time will tell what secrets will be revealed when Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 premieres on Friday.
